Honestly that list could go on for days but the main one is CAN communication to keep your ABS, all factory buttons, dash functions, BCM functions, Key/Start button operation, etc. You can control literally anything with the M1; active aero, auto rev match on downshift, rolling antilag, just to name a few.

You're going to need a harness regardless of which ecu you choose but with the MoTeC you won't need to incorporate the stock ecu. Personally AEM would be way down the list of ecu choices for me. The only advantage to AEM is finding more tuners familiar with it.

im running the chasebays harness on my 2jz brz, had alot of problems in the beginning, altered some wires to make most things work..

Im running racepak instead of the stock cluster, didnt have time to bother to make the oem work, push button works, PS works with some tweaking, ill do the ac when it starts to get hot in here, but ac works buttons work right now

A 2jz swap is and want to be in the future plans but I want to keep all my options and fuctions as if I brought the car with the motor, like traction control etc..
