Per the normal responses: Unless we run a DMV check on you, we have no idea. Wrecks, age, amount of time spent with prior company, previous coverage, etc. etc. etc. - Best idea is to quote from every major insurance company and see how it goes.

For example, I pay 131$ a month for both my GT86 and my 90 Cherokee through Progressive. This was the price I got after leaving Geico (With them for 5 years) - who were charging me almost 270/month.

My insurance oddly enough went down when I traded in my old car for the BRZ. I was paying about $550 every six month now I'm paying $540 every six month. My old car was a 2010 Nissan Versa...

Not sure what the norm is.
Just lower your est miles per year.

Too many variables to list: from your age, your record, how long you've had your insurance, and your coverage. Also you may want to check how you classify your vehicle (for pleasure, work, etc). Select reason for driving to pleasure and it'll help reduce the cost a little - same with annual estimated miles driven per year. The average is around 8-10k miles but if you're only driving it during the weekend, it'll be good to put it around 5-6k miles. However your insurance may ask you to show proof of mileage and they will track it - thus causing your premium to fluctuate based on their calculations.

Also a sports car in general will be higher - 2 door/convertible in comparison to a 4 door sedan/wagon.
