It's a slip indicator. So it flashes when it senses slip regardless if stability or traction control are on. I think it's a neat thing to have so you can kind of get an idea of when and where the tires begin to slip.

Especially considering the next indication is when you're in a ditch or wrapped around a tree.

Yeah, I noticed this in the Ken Gushi videos with the FR-S. Pretty sure HE has all the nannies off and it still comes on his dash from time to time.

It's a Raven.

Drove it around NYC today.

A lot of traffic and people...I'd say was only able to get about 10-15% nice runs.
