Slip Indicator Light

Hey,

First post is sort of lame but I was driving...perhaps a bit aggressively today...and the Slip Indicator Light came on for a brief second.

I read in the manual that it is a malfunction of the VSC/TSC system...so is it anything to be concerned over?

I thank the more knowledgeable in advance for an answer.

You probably did something to cause vsc/traction control to step in for a second

Yea it was a tight corner and I took it kind of hard. So the light can mean that the system was activated? That would make sense.

I just wasn't sure cause I checked the manual right when I got home and the wording was ' malfunction'...

Nothing to worry about. You just got a wristslap by the "nanny" that's all.

Congratulations, now go out there and do it again. ;)

At a guess, I would say that if the light is steadily illuminated there's a malfunction, blinking mid-corner just means that the nanny is doing its job.

if those lights are on when you arent doing anything "spirited" it means something is wrong

It was only on for the briefest of moments so, as advised, it must have been the 'nanny'.

Thanks for the replies!

i love when the nannies actually tuck you around a corner, still learning that limit where it doesnt cut speed but does apply light brake to the inside rear tire and it makes you cut a corner :D

Do you have an ultramarine FRS by any chance?

carbonBLUE 06-10-2012 12:44 AM

It's the: "I'm helping you not loose too much control light since I'm still on light."

I want to change my traction control icon to: :party0030:

I've actually noticed mine will light up from time to time (usually while doing foolishly sideways maneuvers) even when I've got all the nannies *supposedly* turned off. Kinda curious why that is, and if they're never truly turned all the way off?
