But there are these things called "travel carriers" that generally keep the cats contained. They're like $10-20 each and they would have been fine. Pissed off, but fine. |

Cat pee inside won't come out
Thank you! Its a pretty sweet job I must admit.
Yeah we have those. The gf refused to keep them caged up. I wasn't about to get into a massive fight right before getting into the car with her for 15 hours. Who knows maybe I should have. It's in the past now so not much I can do except learn from my mistakes Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk |

Unsolicited advice aside, I hope the smell comes out. This is certainly a mistake you will learn from. |

She paid for the detailing. But it seems to be still there so I'm just asking for advice. I appreciate your concern. let's remember to keep on topic.

Cat piss is very very difficult to remove. The crystals in the piss is the problem. It won't necessarily harm the metal, but any carpet, foam, or cloth will need to be replaced. I have a lot of experience with cleaning it. Baking soda and vinegar is your friend. At the end of the day it is just a car. I love my girlfriend and my cats. I would give up my car in a heartbeat for them.
You can also use an organic stain removal product. It contains a good bacteria that could help. Luckily, auto carpet is unlike house carpet and you may be able to save it. |

Baking soda in your carpet take a brush and get it down in the fibers. Do that a couple time it will get the smell out. My wife dropped old coffee in my eclipse the smell was horrid but the baking soda pulled that smell right out I only had to do it twice.

I haven't had it in a car before, but the wife's cat likes to pee in my computer chairs. Only way I've found to remove the smell is a bottle from Walmart, I'll get the name of the spray when I get home. Spray it down liberally. Then let it sit outside in the sun. Spray down with water. Repeat and repeat some more until it's gone. Sun and water help allot. Now obviously this means you will have to remove whatever is affected from the vehicle.

i used to work for a carpet cleaning business and we'd use a commercial grade hydrogen peroxide (or you can use the same ones from the drug store) for all pet urine stains. if they're on the carpets only, then just put some in a spray bottle, apply it on the carpet, and place a dry cloth with a stack of books on top to apply pressure. leave it for 10 mins and repeat as needed. then spray heavily with soapy water and shop vac it up.

Not sure if this will work, but I heard if you take a chlorine tablet and leave it in your car on a hot sunny day, with the windows up, it should help eliminate the odor

I'm not a chemical expert, but I am an engineer, and that sounds like a great way to get a chemical burn and inhalation damage when you open the door.
