Didn't read through the comments to see if it was posted already but the deep purple you may be looking for is "Midnight Purple I" from the r33 GT-R (Color code LP2). Make sure it's Midnight Purple I and not II or III because 2 and 3 look very different

The photoshop picture "my ideal (dream)" Looks pretty close to PPG's Vibrance line's "Perfect Purple."

I kept it matte for the same reason I chose hot pink- I wanted to do something wild and different. I honestly prefer gloss and I even bought a gallon of the glossifier when I dipped the car, just decide I wanted to keep it matte. That is why I dipped it instead of painting it though, I knew I'd want to go back to gloss and something not so garish.
