limp home mode usually involves running engine in a safe or base mode, limits power output most likely disables/limits intake/exhaust VVT, slow throttle response low power, unlikely it would introduce severe vibration, and it would generally be the result of the ecu detecting failed sensors or systems and throwing up a cel code as a result.

Sounds more like misfire, fouled plugs, crook coil pack, bad vaccuum/boost leak although you would expect it to throw up a CEL code.

Best get someone to look at it before any serious damage done, and it turns into a loud mechanical clatter.

I experienced something like this on Thursday too, while it was raining. The situation was on the way to school, exactly 3 minutes before I parked, except that time it felt like a loose wheel of some sort.

The spectrum of your description is wide. Do you think it is an engine vibration or a chassis issue? I mean, do you feel it only when the vehicle is moving or maybe get some erratic feedback from the steering wheel?

Engine wobble on the passenger side is hard to conceptualize.

With the AVO base map I would get misfire events that do not trigger a CEL. It flashed the check engine lihght while occurring and save it to the ecu. With the scan tool you can see a history if that's what it was. This would happen to me after hard driving and my opinion is the basemap is overly rich mixture for safety and that cause it... even if not related, get a proper tune if you haven't already and a mechanic.

I just read your post again and when you say "starting" I keep thinking you mean moving.... so that plus roller coaster and I'm thinking your front tire looks something like this... (tire bubble)

So I turned on my car and there was no wobbling today.... which is weird. Should I still be concerned?

Yes intermittent misfires almost always return. If it is intermittent it is most likely electrical historically with a subaru it is corrosion or a bad connection in with the plug that goes into the distributor or the distributor it's self.

so it's not that start of direct injection failure and instead just a little spark plug failure...? I can send you a vid through my cell phone if you don't mind.

unless the tire moves at start up, this might be an issue

Yeah you can post a video preferably under the hood at idle. That will give me the best idea if it is a misfire.

I was testing it that Saturday night, and when I steered it all the way to the right, on a downhill slope not moving, it would shake...
