There all over los angeles. It might be all the canyon roads. My nieghbor bought one within days of me.

I think any young man who researches things on the internet and can overcome the egos desire for stoplight torque should choose this car. With enough research there is no better new car in the price range that gives ths particular driving feel. If your smart and want a car thats fun to drive and has a large learning sandbox to play in theres no better car. Unless you just want to stomp a pedal

My apartment neighbor that just moved in has a brz, wrb, just like mine.

There's 2 brz's and 2 frs's at my apartment complex alone. See them daily here.

Went on vacation in Florida, woody area near the coast , saw one out there in the back roads.

Unless those 2-3 are the regulars I've been seeing everyday...

Well, this is good news, means they shouldn't abandon it if it has worldwide success. I'm happy to have the only one around here though, people find it mysterious... the name isn't even on it, they don't have a clue what it is or how much it costs. I love the fact the name isn't on it.

As said, I followed the release of this car in 2013 and haven't ever seen one on the road except mine, isn't that the best thing ever! Hopefully it will stay that way for some time.

Last time I check US sales were good. Europe is a different story

On a side note, how are sales from China, Japan, and the Middle East?

There selling like crazy in Japan, around 25.000 86's a year and maybe 6000 BRZ's. Its the best selling coupe since the S13.

Wow, I am very surprised by those numbers. 86 sales are even better than North America's FR-S sales.

A friend called the GT 86 an exotic car recently and I have to agree. I see about 10 Porsches per day, but rarely another GT 86 or BRZ in a month.

I see lot of Porsches also. Way more than both the FRS/BRZ combined. I'm lucky if I'm driving around alot of the day and see one...if I'm really lucky I'll see two. A guy at my college has a BRZ so I seen that one on the regular but other than that I barely see em.

Funny, I hardly ever see 86's. I'm just north of the LA area and my commute is ~70 miles total mostly on highway 101. But even around town (Santa Barbara), I hardly ever see them.

I've seen more Lamborghinis lately than 86's!

I seem to see FR-S's quite often around my area (North GA).

As a matter of fact, not that it's rational at all to be bothered by this... but at the gas station this morning, a girl in a white FRS (who was seemingly not into cars at all) parked right next to me and shouted "look! we're twins!" and it cut me right in the soul.

Obviously, not every 86 buyer is a car enthusiast or bought it for 'what it is' but I wish they were!

This is surprising. Seems like Arizona is to the 86 like Texas is to the Supra.
