Can't expect off-the-shelf exhausts to fit perfectly every time... too many areas for variance between individual cars. One small difference/misalignment up near the header can be magnified quite a bit by the time it gets to the tips.

My ARK exhaust would fit perfectly by itself, but other aftermarket pieces in the exhaust are causing one tip to stick out maybe 1mm more than the other... I have pretty bad car OCD and I'm still trying to ignore it until I get my new header lol. If it's still off by then, I'll probably just take it to a muffler shop and have them line it up once and for all. They usually have some good tricks up their sleeves.

haha that is probably why stock exhausts are so small and tucked/conservative.

No one measures how much more tucked one exhaust tip is that the other, but everyone is going to to notice one poking out more.

Well, I'm not going to go digging through this thread to find the individual posts, but I can summarize.

During the initial announcement of this product they took a number of pre-order group buys and had a hell of a time fulfilling their orders for people who had already paid. They kept their paying customers waiting weeks/months for the product and kept promising they would be shipped out and not delivering on their word.

Then, when people did receive their exhausts, they were riddled with fitment/quality issues and certain shipments that were damaged in transit. They were not good about getting these issues worked out, and it got to the point where if you called their telephone number and started to ask about the exhaust for the FR-S they would just hang up on you. I remember one forum member from Australia that had ordered, paid, and sat waiting over a month for the exhaust he paid for while SRT ignored his emails and calls. Anyway, in the end they had their vendor status revoked and were completely banned from the forum.

Very greedy company only interested in making a quick buck, they've completely abandoned the community at this point and I recommend you seek out another dual canister design if you really want this look/sound.

I just can't support their business practices and what they pulled with the community early on in late 2012 when this platform was just getting popular.

I purchased mine second hand and it also has a fitment issue where the left tip doesn't sit centered in it's cutout.

This is the truth...if it weren't for the company and fitment on car it would be an excellent, top tier exhaust. I waited nearly 5 months for mine... and during that time it became apparent the company was not all it seemed. I was about to give up and cancel my order and formally ask for a refund but they finally shipped the exhaust...

Second hand should be the only way you are able to get them anymore...they no longer do anything FRS related. I wouldn't deal with SRT based on my experience with them anyways. That said I really like the exhaust...pity it had to come from the company it did. If you find one used for a good deal and are a DIY type its and excellent piece.

People are still buying SRT exhausts? How long did you have to wait for it? I know some people are still waiting for theirs from what feels like years ago.

But it's still listed for sale on their website...

http://www.swiftracing.com/SRT/item....=163&u=1000163

http://www.swiftracing.com/SRT/item....=162&u=1000162

And ironically in the second one, with the link still there to the thread here with everyone shitting on their product and their company in the later pages.

They must have recently put the FRS exhausts back on because for the longest time, after everything hit the fan - even late last year, there was no FRS exhausts listed on their site...

That's simply not true, I check the site every month and it's been there every time. The Internet Archive also confirms that it's been up there the entire time.

Regardless, the point is that they're a shitty company and their products should be avoided unless you want to support dishonest people.

The entire rear section is one piece, so you have to cut it off. Not hard to cut it off - it did it on the car, just need to remove the reverse light and keep its wiring out of the way. I left a little extra on the bumper skin because I'm not exactly sure how I will be making a cover for the bumper beam: whether I want to attach it to the rear bumper skin or just trim the skin flush and make the cover mount separately for the beam. You have to make a bracket to mount the reverse light if you remove the factory 'diffusor' though... simple as drilling holes in aluminum angle (which also has to have a wide "V" cut out of it to fit the reverse light housing - and I dremeled the plastic protrusion/tab from the back middle of the housing some for better fit) and using the factory rear heat shield bolt locations. If you are comfortable dremeling/modifying stock parts its easy.
