MAF is located on the wrong side of the supercharger, no?

I guess a lot of people would disagree, but I love the fact that it reuses the stock airbox. I like the Kraftwerks kit a LOT but I really dread having to take the bumper off to change or clean the filter.

Two things: CARB? And price?

Four if you count the original race that required the removal of the a.c. compressor.

The kit pictured in this thread installed on a vehicle represents the production ready kit. The other thread including the image from Premium day 2014 is the Prototype. If you are familiar with HKS history you would know they never supply welded pipe as a production piece. Almost everything is always cast aluminum like the installed kit.

Once this kit is offically released and I have all of the information about it I'll post up a thread. Until then I can't say much other than the American market was instrumental in the development of this higher horsepower kit, and I'm glad it has been developed.

I didn't even notice that. There's a removable plate back there that gives access to the back of a camshaft. I wonder what it's driving?

It must be an oil pump to feed the Rotrex based supercharger that HKS uses.

I think that valve that comes out right before the cold air gets into the manifold is the bypass valve (BPV). On the KW kit, the BPV is all the way on the hot air side right after the blower. Can anybody comment on advantages/disadvantages on having the BPV at either location?

As long as the air has somewhere to go and is metered properly by the MAF, then I don't think there is an advantage/disadvantage to either. With the HKS kit, the MAF sensor is placed prior to the supercharger and the BPV. That means the air gets metered prior to the BPV so the output of the BPV has to be recirculated back in to prevent going lean when the BPV opens. The KW kit uses the more traditional to BRZ/FR-S forced induction MAF placement near the throttle body where the air gets metered right before it goes into the throttle body so you don't have to worry about recirculating the output of the BPV.
