Slightly off the main topic, but if you're going to slam it 3" it's going to handle like garbage unless you add a bunch more parts to correct the geometry.

You're going to need to fix the roll centers, bump steer and camber all around (plus toe links out back if you get LCA's to fix the camber).

Have a look at what Robispec did to his to get it that low without ruining the geometry.

Yeahhhhhhh lowering 3" and handling well + track should not be in the same sentence. You will need to fix A LOT to even be anywhere near that...

From what you listed, I would say FA, but since you're slamming..... I would choose BC, specifically the BC extreme low. It's going to ride rough that low, especially in that budget. Just being honest.

And in regards to the FAs, what is $150 that it doesn't just come with? They come with camber plates for the front and the thrust bearings are only $80 max.

Radial Bearing mounts is what they dont come with. I will be doing other things to correct the geometry. I think there is a mild misunderstanding in this thread about my expectations. I am not expecting the ride of a cadillac on a slammed FRS. I simply wanted to know the preferrence between bcs or fortunes, or if there is something in that general price range that is better.

if you were aware of these things, you wouldn't be asking your initial question.

you want the cake, you want to eat it, and you want it for cheap as well.

your goals of a good handling (grip wise), you want comfort (terrible roads), you want the car lowered by 3 (three!!) inches.... and all this for minimal investment

just ain't gonna happen.

My initial question was fortunes or bcs. Didnt think that was too difficult to answer. I specified what I intend on doing to my car to skip all the interrogating questions I knew I would eventually receive. But as stated, preferences of bc or fortunes was clearly my question.

in your case it really doesn't matter, if you're set on getting either coilover thinking they'll match your goals then just get whichever is cheaper.

neither will actually satisfy all your requirements.
