Any updates as to how these are holding up? I would like to keep a cat in the front pipe to hopefully reduce extra noise and possible drone. Do any of you that have it on notice a difference in the way your cat back sounded?

I have it on mine. It seems to work great. It's a little louder on start-up, but once the idle drops, you can't really tell the difference.

Question when adding a front pipe with Cat will I get a CEL light or is that only when changing out the header? if I don't have a spacer or tune.

Thanks

You would be fine, no CEL. Installing a catless header would result in a CEL, that would need a tune to disable.

$225 is a really high price for the pipe.
Here is mine, non catted. Berk makes great products though.

Not really. A good cat with metallic substrate will run you at least $100. Stainless flanges would run you another $30. Add in a couple of mandrel bends and labor and $225 is a steel. The only info I can't find is what kind of stainless it is.

It was $180 last year. Looking now prices have gone up. Jwmotoring is a good retailer

Just checking in again for updates. Sounds like these will last! Haven't heard any complaints about Berk, at least quality-wise.

The irony... I just checked Jwmotoring and they have it for $299. @CounterSpace Garage still has it for $225.

In comparison, I've seen Invidia catted front pipes for $450+

For anyone who is using this HFC front pipe, does it smell compared to stock?

It depends on what smell you're talking about. My car doesn't smell any more like gas than stock, but I'm running primarily E85, so my car smells like it just left the local pub.
