Doubt you can find a decent SW20-22 for $5k unless it's salvaged or a non turbo. Those are just as rare as MKIV Supras.

A bike on the other hand, you can find a good 600 for 5K!
A little older 600, yeah.. but I'd like 07+.
(Course.. maybe I'm just being picky, but...)

If your only looking for a 94-95 thats your reason you cant find any.
The 94 tails swap is a extremely common thing for us 91-93 folk. Its just the $400 price tag that sucks.

also look on mr2oc and mr2.com if you are seriously looking for one.

On the WERA forum, you'll find some sweet deals on full race bikes, track bikes or street bikes. These guys know and take care of their bikes

No suspenion work but this is sweet deal!! I'm sure it can be converted back to a street bike.

At first I searched for 94-99 then changed it to 91-99 and it only pulled up 1 red turbo with 175k miles and needed some engine work.

^ that bike looks sweet

The sw20 or mk2 body was only sold in the US till 95, and those are super rare. Hell 94s are hard to come by. Im really surprised by your findings, especially in so cal

Thanks a lot for the tip, buddy. I was trying to figure out how to find a nice bike without having to worry about the previous owner.
(Well.. without having to worry about the previous owner very much, anyway.)

yeah. i did the engine machining (except for the rotating assembly balancing), engine assembly, swap preparation (fuel pump, wiring, gauges, shift cables, axle hubs, etc...), installation, troubleshooting, and everything else necessary to make it run.

after i had an AEM installed and tuned poorly, i re-did the tuning myself and it's much better now. it was all definitely a learning experience, and if i had to do it over again (i might anyway, just to make it more exactly how i'd like it), i'd do many things differently.

-Mike

EDIT: probably helps that i'm ASE master certified... haha
