I got some good questions on PM so I'll add them here.

1. Does it switch quickly from one mode to another? (oil temp, far, boost, water temp, etc) Cause it says in the install pdf it takes 5 secs meanwhile on the videos on other cars it is very fast. So I am confused.

Answer: It switches instantly, I have never seen a delay.

2. Is the socket to the obd port exposed same as scan tool?

Answer: Yes it's the same socket as where you would plug in a scan tool. It is to the right of the steering column just under the dash, very easy to access. The gauge has a low profile plug so it does not hang down. This was one of my concerns and I was glad that they addressed it.

3. Lastly, I'm on FI and plan to only use this as my only gauge. In your opinion is it useful to have?

Answer: I also wanted the gauge for FI. I have the Innovate supercharger so I wanted to keep a close eye on everything. P3 has an added boost sensor that I got but have not yet installed. The factory MAP sensor only reads like 5 psi I think, so you might want the additional sensor. I frequently monitor AFR, water and oil temp, IAT, etc to make sure the car is happy. You can check a lot more, I'm sure you have seen that in the manual.

That's pretty amazing, but $400 is a bit much for me. I get the same results (or better) with my phone mount and the Torque app. Granted, it doesn't look nearly as clean or nice....

It's also worth noting that temps are recorded in the background, so if you're watching AFRs for example you can toggle over to air or oil temp and hit the peak button to see what your highest temp was.

I just installed this on my car and it's seriously impressive. To save cluttering things up here, I wrote a little blurb on it here with some images.

I wish they made these 10 years ago when gauge pillars were popular. I would have had one then!

Not much to do to make this work with fi. If you're running low boost like 5-6 psi the map sensor will read boost up to this level. I just installed a 69 mm pulley on my Innovate supercharger and it hits like 12 psi now so I installed the p3cars analog boost sensor and switched the gauge to monitor that instead of showing map sensor data through the ecu.

Torque is a great app, i enjoy it on my stock car. If you actually modify your car and really need to see some real time data, gauges are where its at. This may not be as good as having multiple individual gauges but fit and finish is expensive.

I'd say this is a happy medium between a torque app windshield mount with your phone and A pillar gauge pods.

I just installed this gauge and it doesn't turn on at all.
I checked the obd2 port and it works with other devices so it is not a fault of obd2 port.
any help or tips please.

Can anyone advise how to get the original vent out? Like an idiot I used a screw driver to remove the inner trim ring and bent and scratched it. Now I need to buy a new one and I still don't know how to remove it. Does anyone have an unmarked one they want to sell? Any advice is appreciated, thank you.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395705463.882520.jpg

The whole vent including the silver ring should pop off together. I remember just using my fingers to pop it off.

You should invest in a plastic removal tool set. Lots of them on Amazon. Makes removing interior stuff really easy

Yes thank you I did manage to get it off and fix my plastic with a heat gun. I will definitely get a trim tool in the future. Here is the completed install.Name: ImageUploadedByTapatalk1395772273.271691.jpg
