Well much of my experience comes from racing boxer motors in our STi and when you increase the size of the turbocharger you just tax the oem crankcase ventilation so I knew the same would apply to the FRS/BRZ. Also I tested the PCV valve and it cannot handle any boost and if you don't remove it you'll restrict crankcase ventilation (since in NA form suction from the intake pull s excessive crankcase pressure. In my eyes there is no other alternative when boosting that is better.

The gold reflective heat tape has been around in racing for years. It's been part of our racing program for a long time and the difference is amazing. Pull off the race track, touch a charge pipe, and you willl burn yourself, but touch the gold wrapped pipe and its only warm to the touch.

The avo oil pump was not perfectly sealed so we fixed that...installed a Cusco catch can and vented the can to atmosphere...so far it seems like the problem is solved. No more oil is being drawn up from the reservoir so I can only assume the pump wasn't functioning properly when not perfectly sealed.

Could you please elaborate on what exactly you mean by "not perfectly sealed" so that others will not make this same mistake. Was it the oil lines not being sealed or the pump/plate not mated to the back of the head properly or the pump mechanism not being aligned correctly to the rotating clip inside the head causing the pump not to actually pump the oil out of the reservoir? Thanks

The plate was leaking so we took it off,re sealed and let it dry for 24 hrs. Everything is working now. I would say to anyone to just make sure to let it dry for long enough before driving

Pardon me for reviving this old thread, coz I was wondering if the Prova T-Rev would help. My car have been puking oil all over the track with AVO catch can vented out to atmosphere. Currently running the AVO turbo kit as well.
