My dealership got one Red Limited with plates from Jersey last week for a day. The Subaru Rep wouldn't let me test drive it sadly

I was down at Darrell Waltrip Subaru (in Franklin) today (3 p.m.) and saw the silver BRZ. This might be the one you will see tomorrow. It was only available for two hours. I didn't ask to test drive it, but they certainly did not offer. The intention, it appears, was to display the unit to the Subaru dealership so that the employees would know what it looked like in person.

The regional sales rep (I think) drove it up from Atlanta. It was silver, Limited, with the manual transmission. Very nice.

It looked nice parked to my silver Honda S2000.

On the note of "limited supply", the Franklin dealership has been allocated 3 BRZs this year and none have yet been sold yet.

One word of note, I did email the Downtown Subaru and the Andrea woman wrote me an email about the "BRX". I'm a bit worried about their knowledge of the car...

Funny, I put in a request in Franklin to be notified if they got a car in, that I wanted to see it. They never emailed me. Thanks Darrel Waltrip.. lol.

I'm glad it's silver though. That's the color I wanted.

Perhaps they're just trying to get me to preorder, I don't expect to be able to drive the car.. One can hope.

Hate to be that guy, but why would you start a thread about being able to "test drive tomorrow!" when ultimately you concede that you probably won't be able to? Seems like a big c0ck tease thread.

The email I received from the internet manager said I would be able to drive the car. That's why.

You missed the screenshot of his email, it explicitly said come on down for a test drive... how much teasing happens is down to the dealer and their ability to fulfill what they said was on offer.

Gotcha. I just read it as you talked to the dealer on the phone and they said you could schedule a test drive some time (i.e in the future). Didn't realize they sent you an email stating you could actually test drive it.

I just wouldn't count on being able to drive it as SOA seems very strict about this (i.e. liability)

Yup, must have missed it before it was taken down.
