I have no experience with EcuTek, but I just installed a UniChip this morning. I haven't had time to give it a good shakedown yet, though. However, Jack is amazing- I managed to make a really stupid mistake hooking up the UniChip, and when I called, Jack was very patient in helping me to figure out what was wrong. Highly recommended.

Same thing I will always say:

1990's Piggyback vs 2000s ECU Flashing

You decide what you want, but I am not going back to the 1990s on my car.

Because modifying 0's and 1's is hard.. Who cares when the technology was created as long as it works and is reliable.

If you're going to make vague statements at least have some data.

The Unichip isn't modifying 0's and 1's. It is modifying voltages of sensors and tricking the ECU the same as any piggyback. What data do you want?

Man, maybe the base Unichip, but I watched their Video, and Unichip seems to have full standalone ability. It can intercept and modify signals, or just plain take over.

Wish I was close to them, I want a live Demo for the advanced stuff from them.

Remove the ECU from the car, and give that a shot.
