0 to 60 in the mid 6 secs range....2601 curb weight....I will go with those...hehe!
that's 0 to 62 in 6.9 secs Fast enough...and we all know the manufacturer 0 to 60 times are always slower than actual times tested by the car mags. |

I don't think it'll hit 100kph in 2nd gear, that may be why the times look so different, since that extra shift into 3rd takes an extra fraction of a second.
And I think 1210kg curb in the brochure that they're handing out seems to be the US curb weight, which appears to be full tank of fuel + all fluids filled up. The Scion is likely a tiny bit lighter due to the missing trim bits and nav, but that's it. So 2640lb curb? |

And they can still get it. The RSX-S over the years through different magazines and drivers have had posted 0-60 times between 5.9 and 7.0 depending on which magazine did the testing.
Testing methods also differ from source to source. Some do lift-throttle shifts while others don't. Some testing is done in better whether, and some testing vehicles were ragged out, some were too new and still others well broken in. So, 6 flat is still very possible based simply on its power output and weight with regard to numerous vehicles existing today with similar specs, namely the RSX and Civic Si's, the latter of which weighs more yet still achieves mid 6 second times(not talking about the 2012). |

yeah...picked up another 11 ft lb. All these discrepancies probably have to do with the test standards used to measure them. Like when sae changed how they measure horsepower several years ago. The 200hp civic so became 195 HP under the new test procedure.
edit: no it didn't. Found an incorrect torque table on the web Last edited by tachi1247; 03-07-2012 at 12:25 AM. |

I would expect 0-60 time to be 6.7s if the 6.9s in that image is correct.
I am pretty sure Subaru has confirmed the curb weight at 2755 lbs curb weight right? The FR-S is going to be within ~50lbs of that depending on options. I would guess the difference in the weight on that info card, and Subaru's curb weight rating is based on differences in testing standards maybe? Not sure, but I am fully expecting US curb weight to be 2750-2850lbs for the manual. |

Vorshlag will have a USDM BRZ on a set of corner weight scales next week. We'll finally have some real numbers and can stop trying to make sense of marketing BS.
