Yes. I bought my tc new in 2008 in August as a 2009 model. Toyota introduces the next model year usually around June (depending on manufactured location).

SIDEBAR---I must ask you Veloist...fixed-gear? Or do you like advancements in bicycle technology?

Toyota introduced the '11 Sienna in Feb or Mar of '10 and the '09 Corolla in early spring of '08. Same with the '07 Camry, '07 Tundra and I'm sure a load of others. Fully redesigned or new models aren't completely tied to the Aug/Sept release dates.

Oh okay I see. Scion repeatedly said It would come in the Spring, which, according to google , is March 20-June 26. But if Toyota's car releases don't really have a pattern to follow I guess I can't really conclude!

Very cool! A ton of my family lives in the Bay Area and they did the Furnace Creek 508 this past year.

Back on topic, I would say Toyota will want this to be a smash constantly so a late summer debut of a RWD coupe would not favor their marketing vs a late spring/early summer release.

I think it's crazy some of you guys drive 50+ miles to go to a Subaru dealer. I have 7 Subaru dealers within 20 minutes from me.

How come the acceleration figures are so f****** low when top speed is 230 km/h? No way it must be a typo. I'd say 6,7 sec but I'd expect even better.

7.6 seconds is horrific. In the 8s with an auto? A honda fit is 8s.

I doubt its the drivers being slow, this is germany now; they know how to go fast. I am pretty sure its some kind of typo in translation
