I agree that's why I was wondering. I don't really care that much there have been improvements to resistive screens and they are much better then they were a few years ago.

Since this is made by Pioneer has anyone heard if it will also support Pioneer's AppRadio system? That would be very cool if it did since it lets you run other apps through the head unit like DashCommand.

I don't think he's opposed to having an SD card slot, he just doesn't want one on the face of the stereo. I'd rather a clean look myself, and put the SD card somewhere in the glovebox, or similar.

Do we know if this radio has an internal storage device for the map data?

This is the SD card that was in the radio in the pre-production BRZ I sat in:

Aha seems really gimmicky, I think I'll rarely use it. On the other hand, I am extremely excited for bluetooth streaming, I'll be using that 24/7. I'm still sticking to my song collection on my iPhone's solid drive. Don't think the cloud stuff is quite there yet.

It should come standard on both.

Its a Pioneer AVIC seriers - capacitive, but if its the same as in last year models, quality will be mediocre. Its definitely not an HD screen.

What they've done, took cheaper 9xx model chasis and modified it to support few features from Z-seriers.

Its my personal liking. All USB, SDs and other plugins should be out of the way - cup holder, glove compartment. I'd like to have just a good screen and a good knob or informative switch\volume buttons . That's it.

Look of the SD card in the dash reminds me of late 80-ies, early 90-ies, when it was cool to show off your internal guts. I like flush interface. Don't disctract me with extra buttons, slots and plugs on the dash.

For me Kenwood has it all most of the time.

Yeah that is the same card that was in the car at Pacific Subaru @ Hermosa Beach it isn't for music storage it is obviously the map storage.

I don't mind the Nav unit at all, it's not the best but it's not going to be a let down compared to what I'm used to, my DD's currently are a '79 malibu wagon (4 on the floor) and a 2000 Dodge Ram 2500, the "newest" vehicle I've ever owned is a 2003 Ducati, needless to say none of these have any advanced electronics, the only new electronics in any of my stuff is the AEM Series 2 in the Track Car 240sx

I don't know about Aha but I stream all of my music from the cloud. I only use iTunes Match and Spotify on my phone and I love it. Verizon probably hates me though as I average 2-3 GB a month. They need drop Aha and integrate Spotify into the head unit, that would be amazing.

I'm a little frustrated by the Aha integration. I don't have an iphone or an android phone, I'm one of the few with a Windows phone. I don't want to haveto shell out 500 bucks to get a phone out of contract just to enable half the features of my car's stereo system... that seems garbage to me. :/

They aren't forcing you to use it.. You can still pair the phone over bluetooth and stream through whatever you use on the phone.
