From what my source told me, it's going to be released with iOS support first. But who knows between now and then that they get other smartphones supported. It's an app you download to the phone that syncs up with the headunit so i don't see why it can't support most smartphones.

Seems like a Droid based phone should work as well due to numbers. Scion would be dumb not to.

I suspect Bespoke may just be using the AHA radio interface like the BRZ will have. I'm not really impressed with AHA. I was hoping for something like Pioneer's AppRadio. It would be very cool to be able to run apps like DashCommand through the head unit. |

i'm sure any dealer will be more than happy to sell you their own aftermarket navi and install for you for a price. but those navi units won't be authentic Toyota/Scion products, they'll be just like any other aftermarket units. this is why i'm leaning toward the Subaru now.

In the end, as long as the headunit does Bluetooth and you can use it to stream audio that would be good enough for me.

Probably not. that is a system that uses a cell phone (and cellular network) to provide your location to the navigation software (if it has it...it isn't listed as a feature of this system). If it does indeed do navigation you will be reliant on cell service or else your navigation isn't going to work.
Scion's current navigation option is the SNS200 system and cost $2k plus installation on a tC and xB. Can't get any NAV on an xD or an iQ. At that point it might be cheaper to get a FR-S bumper and get it painted plus you get all the goodies that come along with the BRZ. Or wait a few months and get one of what I am sure will be a plethora of available aftermarket front ends at substantially lower cost. |

Okay so basically there is a navigation accessory (option) from Scion dealers parts department like the TC for $2k plus labor to install. That answers my question and is all I wanted to know! Thanks

As long as Scion offers a factory or dealer installed accessory option of a different, more modern, Pioneer radio or stereo head to replace the standard all-plastic head that comes with it, than I am okay. Because the standard one looks like it is out of a Power Wheels from Toys R Us.

every scion ever has had 3 HUs available. stock (ugly one), premium (usually nicer w/touch screen), and a NAV unit.
when you go to order your FR-S you can pick the one you want. normally the radios (and most other options like springs and lip kits) are installed when they arrive at port depending on what the dealer has asked for. the optional radios are usually expensive compared to aftermarket options. usuallly towards $2k for any of the NAV options. one good thing though is that all scion radios are plug and play between the models, even through model years. the tC/xB/xD/iQ all have the same radios as options (Base/Premium/NAV). and seeing that the FR-S also has the same base radio, and that what seems to be the Bespoke system looks physically the same as the premium HU you can get from scion. you could get an slightly older Scion NAV for cheaper or even find someone selling one for cheap (happens a lot.) and plug it in and it will all work just as well. i bought the Alpine NAV system for cheap because they were clearing them out I have a 2006 tC and was able to plug in the old 2010 Scion Alpine NAV and install the new USB/AUX and everything worked perfectly and only spent $400, as opposed to $500 for just the premium HU without NAV.
