Uwajimaya down by the stadium. Serious Japanese supermarket and department store.

Gasworks park on the north side of lake Union.
UW campus and U avenue. The bookstore.

Museum of History and Industry just opened on the south shore of lake Union in an old Navy building.
Wooden boat Museum next door.
Ducati dealer then Marineland for low cost sushi on a conveyor. All in the same general area.

Ride the monorail downtown from Seattle Center.
Ferry ride to Bainbridge and back. Dock is right downtown near Pike Place. Inexpensive as a walk on passenger.
Car round-trip will cost about $30 though.
Bremerton leaves from the same dock and goes through Rich Passage.
Check out the fountain park between the Bremerton terminal and the Navy yard. Not much else in B-town though without a car.

Is a pretty decent gyro/flafel place. It's not terribly far.

Some good suggestions here already. That area of seattle is easy to get around by bus- not sure if the bus is still free downtown?

Are you into 'foodie' type places? dives? fine dining? locally grown organic? It's all around.

Places to go:

Pike Place Market: place they throw fish, also the first starbucks (if you care- coffee tastes the same though), lots of fresh fruit and snacks, food places. One of my favorite is a little mini donut cart.

Seattle Center- already mentioned

Waterfront- some good seafood places- take a Ferry ride

If you're a coffee snob, uh, connoisseur there are of course a lot of great coffee places.

Stumptown Coffee
Cafe Ladro
Cafe Vivace
Cafe Zoka

There's a Zoka and Vivace pretty close to where you are staying- maybe a 5-10" walk.

Hope this helps! Good luck and have fun! If you're lucky it might even rain!

Which cruise line you using? Norwegian is near downtown.
Holland and Celebrity is farther north at pier 91.
How long are you going to be on the ground in Seattle?
