Those plans are far away though...
Honestly, I didn't know what a W55 was, so I googled it, and apparently that car had an American thermonuclear warhead as a transmission instead of one from an 80s Celica.

And that's EXACTLY what I'm looking to draw out of the Celica, BRZ, and BMW 2002 I want. 300-350whp on these three would make them all monsters of a new breed. Sadly, I'm with you there.... I too have a few years to wait before I can even get somewhat started on one of them...

Haha!

The FR-S/BRZ would be perfect with 385 hp and 290 ft-lbs of torque!

Indeed! I kinda wanna go with a custom twin turbo setup with 2 of the turbos found on an Ecoboost 2.0.

That actually sounds really !! I would love to see one of these with a sequential TT setup. I'm sure that would be even more of a beast than the SC kits and even most of the turbo kits floating around right now.

I'm not going for max power, but I do want around 275 hp/ton as well as more low-end torque because that's really what this engine lacks. Also, I'd probably go with a parallel setup purely for symmetrical geometry.

Yeah, I definitely understand that, I would never want this thing to be a dragstrip runner. I would hope to see any SC kit running 300whp/250wtq, or 350/280. Though I'm not too concerned with running between lights, or sub-10 second 1/4 mile times, I would like to see a sub-5 second 0-60.

The JZ series/ZZ series and the RB engines are probably my favorite JDM engines, besides of course, our flats

I think a Beams 3SGE with a 6 speed from an Altezza RS200 would be a sweet swap for the car. That is what my plan is for the far future unless something else comes to mind.

The BEAMS 3S-GE is a great engine, and it would make a great swap candidate into a Celica Liftback!

Lordy. I really need to start reading up on engines. Just barely broken into them it seems.
