The biggest downfall for the AT when it comes to off-the-line acceleration is that damn torque dip you have to fight through. With a manual you can keep the revs up and dump the clutch for maximum acceleration but that's not an option with an automatic.

Translation: he/she got to test out a part that was roughly 1500 bucks that made the AT unbelievable(i assume in a good way), which will be available in 2 months.

That probably was me. And yes, my BRZ recently broke 6 seconds and on average running around 5.80-5.85 seconds 0-60 times. And this is on snow tires!

I wanna see more AT mods!

I love the AT in this car, only other good AT under 30K range that can compete with it is the VW GTI AT (Wish we had a throttle blip when we downshifted). After that, dare i say it can compete with more luxury/sportier automatics at around 50K.

So if those few performance mods can effect an AT that much, then I wonder how much improvement the MT would have with the same mods.

Nice. That's not too much of a difference. I couldn't really tell, but were you using your AT in manual mode?

Edit: I'm guessing you weren't, because you were video taping.

That is impressive as hell considering the advertised AT 0-60 times. How did you launch it??

Probably has more to do with running E85. Launching AT? Hold down the brake until just before the emergency assisted braking kicks in (which will limit your revs), rev it up to 5000 rpm, simultaneously release brake and floor the throttle.
