So what's the difference between these and T3 4000?

If you go on DBA's website, the 4000 and 5000 series says paint protection, the T2's don't.

The main difference is in the alloy used to create the discs. It is more resistant to cracking due to temperature changes/differences. Only a concern if you're taking your car to the track.

Either way, you're going to find it hard to find a disc that wont rust. Well, unless you go titanium or ceramic.
