My mats are wearing quickly below the clutch and brake. I asked the Dealership to submit a warranty claim, but havent heard back as yet. I priced the mats, $300 for just the drivers mat, no thanks. My previous car was a Honda, it had premium mats that were still like new after 10 + years.

I know it's just an example, but $1700 for those?!

The CF would be a big help for wear and tear though.

Yes, where your heel rests is scuffing up and wearing out the mat

They are wearing out far quicker than usual where and tear. I'm not saying Toyota will replace everyones, but our dealer here has one on order for one owner and has said for me to keep an eye on my new ones (traded in GT86 for TRD86) to see if they too need replacing at some stage.

Looks like an opportunity for someone to step up and offer a carpeted mat with a wear pad in the heel area. Or maybe a wear pad that can be added to the OEM mats.

Geeee, factory mats should last a shit load longer than that. The OE mats to me celica lasted some 9-10 years before it wore through a hole on the right heel ! That's about 220K !

Mate i checked them out. They look excellent. They dont seem to have the 86 or brz listed though. You rekon if we sent them the stock mat they could use as a template?
