You're thinking of gold plated, extremely shiney... completely different

Powder coating wheels is safe and has been done for many years. They are baked between 350-400 degrees for a very short amount of time and then cooled to room temp. Very safe process for wheels.

You have to be extremely cautious with forged components and wheels. Think there's a little bit of a difference in the method when powdercoating forged vs casted wheels

The purple would be really good or really bad. I think I'm just going to paint my brakes purple and get black concave wheels

Son, that is fantastic

Make that car your own!

Remember those Project Mu sky blue brake calibers? Things like that are stellar. getting some nice black rims with a metallic purple shining through behind them would be nice and unique. You got to make the car your own and no one can judge that :happy0180:

unless you put a pink dodge ram emblem on your car. That would just be weird

No difference at all. It's really quite simple I've powder coated parts for years. You can do it in your oven at home for small parts in a pinch and still have the same results as a walk in oven. I've literally seen thousands of wheels go through the process first hand without a single problem.
