If you dont consider the time value of money, it will take Geico at least 15 years to recoup that money. And if you consider the time value of money, its about 20 years. I am not sure that a claim is even chargeable after a certain amount of time.

Albeit, I know everyones situation is different and this may not be the best route to go for everyone, but instead of only fixing what I think might be broken, or might be damaged etc, everything is repaired and I dont have to worry about it. In fact, I sent the car back twice to have other repairs made because initial repairs werent enough.

Either way, the choice is yours. If you feel you have severe damage insurance is not a bad option.

i agree in principal,however,the point is,no matter your choice,you will get hammered on the premium,BECAUSE YOU cost them money,and regardless of THEM getting your money for "allready" for covering your car,you will STILL pay them MORE now in the form of increased premium,whether you like it or not! in my view,this IS 'fu**ed",however it is what it is,as they say!

First off, don't listen to anything coming from yourfearlrssleader. If you or your parents can afford to fix it out of pocket that would be good because there wouldn't be anything on carfax, your insurance won't shoot up for several years being that you are so young.

Not trying to sound like a **** but accidents happen to everyone. It's not like i wanted this to happen. I was driving to work and right when i was about to pull in some crazy old lady in a honda came speeding my way. The parking lot isn't divided by lines but I tried to turn back out but it was too late. I honestly don't care how any of you feel about a 17 year old driving a sports car. I guess it would also be a bad time to mention the talk i had with my dad about the GT-R when i turn 21. Anyways the car is getting fixed at a shop. The damage wasn't even that bad. Waiting for the control arm to come in then a simple alignment. Im not a dumb 17 year old that takes things for granted. I would hard for the things i want. Like I've said plent of times, I pay for my car. $475 a month and premium gas witch is $5 a gallon. So quick to judge...

I'm going to turn into an old man for a minute here, so don't take this the wrong way.

You aren't doing yourself any favors here. I know you want to sound cool, or bad ass, or independent, or whatever else floats your boat, but we know that's bullshit. A GT-R at 21 because you worked hard for it, eh? Since you're financing the FRS, I can assume you'll also be financing a GT-R. I'm in the six figure range and I can't afford to finance a GT-R, let alone maintain it and pay for insurance. You're also 17, you don't know what hard work even is yet. You may pay for the car, but what about rent/mortgage? food? health insurance? College in the next few years? That's paid for by pops, again, because you're 17.

What I'm trying to say is just relax and don't be so quick to respond to criticism here. You may feel you're independent, but you aren't going to win over many people here with that perspective.

you sir pay a lot for a car thats 25k... im 21 and i pay less than 200 bucks a month for my FRS... lol


why would you buy a GT-R? unless you have track memberships, the fact is you can use that car to 30% of its potential on the street, yeah you can go fast in a straight line but that's about it... there's better cars fr the street than the GT-R... Porsche or BMW make great DD cars.. GT-R is a RACECAR, should be at the track quite often or you wasted your money, or your ego is too big....

personally if i went out and bought a 100k+ race car it would have to be this

An MSRP out the door FR-S monthly payment is ~$500 a month (60 months) with no down payment.

I pay $550 because of Five Axis.
