I'm sure people where confused as to why an LSD was offered on a "Corolla" back in the '80's as well.

I'm 100% positive this car will have a LSD, at the very least, optional.

I know, I just wanted a public statement by the voter, so we may all berate him.

Edit: Oh snap, a second vote for viscous.

I'm guessing on Torsen. Most of FR car that Toyota made uses Torsen (Supra, Mark II, Chaser, Verossa). IIRC they even used on Celica GT-Four

mostly off-roading. some slip is still desirable for drifting, AFAIK. i'm not much into drifting, though. the difference even just a rear locker makes off-road is INCREDIBLE. here's a fun video that illustrates the difference in capabilities pretty well:

here's one that shows one wheel off the ground, yet no slip:

and some propaganda for lockers:

they are absolutely not for use around turns on a grippy surface. there's no way they'll put a locker on the FT. people would snap CV's left and right...

Are you sure? IIRC Torsen is American company started out under Gleason Power Systems name. Gleason Power System to Zexel Torsen to Toyoda-Koki Automotive Torsen North America Inc to JTEKT Torsen North America, Inc.
