yeah I know, But for some club4ag kids they seem so critical about the SR5 vs GTS, Its like the SR5 was a retarded child or something. I Remember a member trying to sell his GTSR5, people are saying "on that price I rather buy a real GTS" and that topic became the SR5 vs GTS flamer.

Yeah, I don't understand the whole flaming SR-5's that have been converted with a 4A-GE and GT-S rearend.
The only difference is the car has obviously been worked on, with mechanicals from unknown sources (typically) etc., but thats not reason enough to downplay an GT-SR5, if the swap was done correctly. If I had garage space, more free time, and some extra money, I'd totally find an unmolested SR-5 with a straight body and build it up. They're easier to find out here (for obvious reasons: they sold more units) and are cheap as hell. SR-5's typically make the best platform to start with in building your AE86 because of these reasons. Its just GT-S rear-ends and gas tanks are always so damn spendy..... |

![]() Car was completely trashed, had some rust issues in misc. parts, but the chassis was straight. Bought it for $50 from some country folks wayyyy out in the boondocks. Unfortunately I couldn't store it anywhere after my friend got booted from a place he was renting, so I gave it away to other drift heads. If I had had a place to store it, and more money to help with a second project, I'd still have that car. I want a coupe sooooo bad. They put a individual carbed 4A-GE on it and used a fuel cell. I need to call them up and see how the car's doing. |
