First off my wife and I would like to mention how awsome AVO customer service was...She ordered the kit on Friday, and it Delivered Monday!!! True, it was coming from the Seattle area to Portland...but they kicked ass on getting it out the door and to mine!! So...I got the kit, everything well wrapped and protected, instructions, and a catalog. It took maybe 25 minutes to install?? 5 minutes of that was looking for one of the clamps that slipped off and fell under the car. Anyhow, the stock stuff unbolted and pulled out quickly. The AVO kit is super thick, durable and fit perfect on all of the mating surfaces (throttle body, air box outlet, PCV..etc), and nice (not cheap) stainless steel clamps at each connection. After a quick inspection, I clamped everything in and took it for a quick drive around the block...seemed a little more responsive? However, a drive the following evening would give better results...

Leaving the neighborhood once the car was warmed up and in Sport mode, getting on it revealed a significant difference in throttle response...Quicker for sure. No doubt. She climbed the RPMs quicker and smoother...and with I believe to be a New engine sound? My wife and I both don't remember the sound of the engine sucking air and sounding so healthy? Placeabo?? I don't think so...maybe AVO can chime in on this?? Perhaps the larger sound tube is filling the car with even more Smile making sound?? Either way, we were prettty excited each time we got a red light (Odd huh?). I made sure that each launch was hard and abrupt...no feathering the throttle...just full on GO! I understand the intake allows approx 10% more air flow, which may not equal alot of HP gain to some, but you'll notice the difference! That sound too...you'll love it!! Anyhow, it's only been a couple of days (commuters at that), so I'll know more this weekend. MPGs increase or Decrease? We'll see...Eye Candy under the hood...FoSho!!

Note too that the AVO intake is in addition to a K&N High Flow filter and Nameless Performance Axleback Stainless exhaust...
Looking forward to getting mine. I have an Invidia system starting with a catless frontpipe and an N1 catback. I have the K&N filter as well. I ordered my AVO without the soundtube because I removed my noise generator.

Ok, is there some way you can sum it up? There is 20 f*ing pages there. I have one on my car, I don't really notice anything wrong with it. I will try to read thru that stuff later tonight though to get a better understanding. @tonystewart can you tell me whats wrong with your old one that made you take it off?

Basically a few customers were having issues with bogging, AirRaid blamed it on the tune some people had, they came back and said some people with stock tunes had it, tune maker came back and defended themselves, AirRaid still blaming others, and then a comparo showed the AirRaid losing 10hp off of stock.

A lot of people can't even get their intakes sold for even $150 now.

Just spoke to a local independent performance shop for import vehicles. They are going to use a dynojet to dyno my car next week. (Next week because I cant do it this weekend due to prior arrangements) One with the STOCK INTAKE and one with AIRAID INTAKE. My numbers might be different than the other persons... I have a AXEL BACK MAGNAFLO exhaust.

Can anyone tell me how to upload videos on here?

If I had the time, I'd like to do what you just said you're going to do. I've had zero issues with my Airaid and although there has definitely been a little loss/lag down low, there's been enough to make up for it up high. I'm not saying what others have posted (i.e. dynos/etc.) are bad, I'm just saying I don't have that same effect for whatever reason. It sounds nice and dresses up the engine bay fairly good too. So hope you get a chance to post up your results.

If I could figure out how to upload vid's on here... LOL... I'm tech dumb today. I'm taking mine next week. Found a import performance shop to dyno it for $50 on 2 runs. One with stock and one with AIRAID. I'll post the video and the graphs as soon as I'm done. I will also be talking to them about a sc/tc kit for my car. The guy there seemed cool, so I'm going to hang out with those guys and see what info I can get out of them.

I'm no techy, but at the least you can just post the links to your youtube videos and we can see them that way. I think if you look on your youtube page you will see an imbed button or link you can post up to imbed your video. Good luck.
