I don't think it will rust. The hole is painted and the back of the fender is coated. You would need bare metal to start rusting.

LOL!
I never noticed the holes... Canadian cars come standard with mudflaps. The ones in the rear won't rust... urethane. I'm not sure about the front. Your best bet is to wait for a bit and see if you can find a less expensive source than the dealer for the mudflaps. It does look a little unfinished with just the holes there, but it may end up looking worse if you try to modify something else to cover them up. |

This is my solution to the issue that I honestly had not noticed. I've bee to busy enjoying the handling with an autox and hillclimb.

They are not for everyone I will admit that. It is a subaru though and to me that means it's going to see and has seen some off road. I plan on some rallyx this winter and maybe some ice racing.
