The boat weighs more than the car, has only two points of contact and is stored on grass so they obviously help.
These are pretty neat. I might just slap the stocks back on and gives these a try. Looks like a pretty easy thing to use if I decide to leave the car stationary for a few weeks at a time. Cheaper than buying a used set of wheels lol

Yep. They protect from much of the moisture and help hold shape. The stock tires would stand up well.

Stocks are only 215, do you think i'd need to buy more than 4x? It looks like you can snap them together to make them wider

They are a little better than 8" wide so one per tire is fine.

But...

The wider they are the easier to get the car on them and the more they distribute the weight across the ground prevent from sinking in.

I only use two singles for my boat but would probably double up for the car.

I use tire totes (similar to tire duffels in later url) to carry two tires simultaneously to/from car (and reduce dirt fall off from them), but store them on balcony off-season in cylindrical shape cover that holds stack of four tires (similar to tire rack's tire garage). Obviosly it's not ideal, but it protects from precipitation & direct sun light (nothing i can do on temp changes though), and take no place inside flat. Shops that offer off-season tire storage charge too much here, and i have no garage/sched. So this cover on balcony, WFM

The temperature changes are the least of the concerns on tires that are stored anyway. Moisture and UV are the killers.
