The JDL UEL header is right up there for headers if you want to stick with UEL but want good top end. I'd suggest and overpipe and front pipe with a highflow can also, they won'y improve peak power much but midrange and response definitely improve.

80/20 rule. Get a decent header and run the E85 tune. Everything else is not worth it unless you are chasing ounces in a race car.
Regarding the 2017+, there are A LOT of little changes to the motor. There was an internal doc from Subaru floating around a few years ago that detailed all the little things they did. There is a lot more than meets the eye on the 2017+ engines.

Revival vs repetition
My plan is to header and flex fuel tune this winter spring. I’m not entirely sure what is the most cost effective way to go. I’d rather have a cat than not because I still will drive on street. Eventually I want to do fi w a flex fuel tune. Is getting a zeitronix or delicious kit plus headers and getting a dyno tune the aforementioned cost effective way to go about this considering future modification? I noticed there is a rear O2 and evap ecu application. What’s the difference in them? |
