25mm front and 30mm rear look great! There is plenty of room.

You can run a zero offset 7" wide wheel with a few degrees of negative camber. A 17x7" ET 0 has the same poke as 18x9.5" +32.

Anyway, my point is that you will be fine with 20mm spacers in the front.

My experience was with 20mm up front and 25mm back. Those will look flush (you mentioned aesthetics). No problem with studs hitting the stock wheels. Can't say anything else since I had to remove them due to stripped nut problems on spacers.

there was a point that i hadn't either. a few months ago i bought a welder. i don't have a clue what i'm doing, but you can't learn until you try!

wheel studs are really easy to replace, it's really a pretty good spot to start trying. worst case, you have to replace a few studs and start over.

How I cut my studs.

First, I threaded a nut on the stud. Then measured the length. Cut the stud. Then by un-threading the nut, it repairs the thread on the end of the stud. (as long as your cut is nice) Then carefully clean up the tip of the stud with a file.

All 10 I did came out perfect.

And, like Soundman said, they are inexpensive and easy to install if you need to replace one.
