So i guess i can be called lucky. Here local winter only snow/ice tracks appear in 5 times larger numbers then summer/tarmac ones, probably due way less investments needed to create/maintain such (mostly just some piece of open land and something to create ice with, eg. water tank trailer pulled by tractor, or water flooded over plain or .. well, fallen snow for snow tracks ). Most tracks open every day whenever weather allows that (unfortunately during last years winters were much warmer, thus half to 2/3rds of all winter days such tracks were closed due not enough snow/ice). Immense fun, and much cheaper then summer tracking fuel/brakes/crash damage costs wise . Grip is wanted a lot though, to go at least at moderately slow pace, instead of snail pace, as most options that provide actually sufficient grip (=rally studded tires) are not street legal

This is not a problem. It is an opportunity.... to justify buying a new set of wheels

My last winter with the FRS was something like this (actually me on my car there, my GF was actually sleeping on the passanger seat right there):

iCar is about 5.5 hours with no traffic in good weather, in any weather I'd want to be up there for it would be an easy 6.5 hours each way.
