Hmm, even with the windows down and a nice cool breeze coming in, I can feel some warm air coming from under the steering wheel.

This is with the recirc off, so there isn't any air coming from the vents at all.

Gets to be pretty annoying when I want to cool off in the evenings with the windows down and my face is cool but my balls are getting nuked.

Yea really. In Texas there are only a few months where windows down is OK without swimming in your own sweat. Having a moonroof open with the A/C on is fine though.

I can see a reason to have windows down and A/C on...just not in Hell states.

Are you trying to cool the planet down by running your A/C with your windows down?

I don't know how you can actually feel the A/C with the windows down.

I've never really been a fan of using AC around town. Unless I have a fat, sweaty person in the passenger seat.

same here - thats probably the #1 issue i have with this car and unlike my other cars -- this is really annoying since you cant have nice cool air flow thru the car with the tinted windows up. Im hoping SCION is reading all these complains and figures out a fix for this soon. i am going to make sure i write this in the customer service-survey form that i havent filled out yet.

I remember my Si would do this real bad (hot air coming out the vents with fan off). I assumed it was because of the small engine bay area so it didn't have much place to go otherwise.

Obviously, the engine bay is much larger in the FR-S, but I assume it's because of the way they channel the air into the engine bay. Putting recirc on definitely helps, so try that if it bothers you. I typically have my vents set to blow at my feet when I'm not using AC so in case hot air is coming in, it won't be all up on me.

So I have noticed that hot are comes thru the vents that blow toward your face when using outside air and no AC.

I had to switch to my windshield vents really quick, and when I switched the vent back to the forward facing vents again the air was ice cold for only a moment.

I hadn't turned on the AC or turned on the air recirc, all I did was change what vents were blowing. I just can't figure this thing out.

One of my biggest gripes about the car (despite it being quite small)... my WRX blows in the ambient air temp from around the car when you have thing to let in outside air on. The FR-S feels like it's always blowing ambient air from the engine bay... I usually just put it to recirculate and open the windows instead, but sometimes, I do wish I could get ambient air with the windows closed so it's not as noisy. AC just seems like overkill.
