If installing studs is too much work for what you want to do, just get new wheels.
Not a bad idea, but the lack of tools for the job makes me not want to bother. Every time so far something's been missing for what I need and I have to go out and get it... Maybe it's worth going the easy route this time. Who knows.

I cut 10 studs in under an hour with a really dull old hacksaw. Cleaned up the tips with a file. I thread a nut onto the stud, cut it, unthread the nut which helps "clean up" the threads, and file the end carefully.

Replacing the studs is not that complicated. I did my front ones in about an hour. The rear takes a bit longer.

Spacers are a compromise for sure. Getting perfect width and offset wheels would be ideal. Sadly, the wheels I wanted only came in high (42 & 45) offsets. I have 5mm, 10mm, 12mm, and 25mm spacers to mess with.
If a hacksaw gets it done in that much time it might be worth looking into it. As of right now it's either that or new wheels. As mentioned, I'd consider replacing them but not sure I wanna go through the trouble.

Did the 25mm spacers cover the stock studs?

Edit: This guy is running 17x8 +15. I think they look amazing! If the 25mm clears, you could get some for the front too. Essentially you would have +17 wheels, 2mm sunk in compared to the link here: https://www.ft86club.com/forums/show...r+557+supercut

This is with the 25mm spacers. It clears it just right, but this is how much it pokes...

All I can think of is to max out the camber up front with some camber bolts to bring the top back in.. But is it gonna be enough? Hmm...
