Most of us amateurs won't come out ahead on that cost analysis.

Offering a performance item on a sports car is a no brainer, regardless if its necessary enough. People will buy it because they think its supposed to be on there. It's all about money. It's a really good deal on our end but Subaru is getting the parts so cheap, they can offer them at a low price.

I still don't know what burning up fluid is so I can't even start on that comparison. You will also burn up brake pads and go through fluid on a BBK eventually. Those prices will also have to go into owning a BBK. It's not like once you buy a BBK, you don't have to change pads or fluid anymore.

Or use Project Mu. Green turns clear if it absorbs too much moisture (aging), or turns brown if it gets too hot (tracking).

PM to order.

Don't forget to bleed your clutch pedal every 2 years too.

Damn, that's useful. Might have to try that next time (just bled them with fresh RBF600 though)

I go mostly by color.

Tcoat Take a look at it. It should be almost clear. If milky, rusty coloured, or blackish then it needs to be changed. It should smell sort of sweetish (hard to describe an odour) and if there is any hint of a burnt smell it should be changed and flushed.
