The key is to find someone with zero ethanol. Shell here (Ontario, Canada) distinctly says ZERO ethanol in VPower fuels. My car has not had the chirp issue. Though it has the funky idle dip when decelerating.

There's a few places in CA offering higher octane. The most convenient place for me is in Sunol and sells 100 octane around $7/gal. 3 gallons of that in your tank and you're at about 93.1 octane.

I found a zero ethanol gas station en-route on my work commute, so when I'm back in town I will also fill up here and see what it does...

I'm skeptical that gas would remove the chirp. I'm fairly sure that engine load and temperature play a part in it. I've noticed it's more noticeable on hotter days as of late.

I've filled up at the same Shell gas station nearly every one of the 2k miles I have (93 V-Power) and still have it.

I agree that it has something to do with the engine load.

First of all, as I posted in my previous post, the chirping went away when I switched from Chevron to Shell.

Now regarding the engine load, here is what I tried today:
Drive for 15 minutes, 1/2 city and 1/2 highway, and keep the rev under 3000 RPM = No chirping.
Rev to 4000 RPM in 2nd gear = Chirping starts right away.
Chirping stays there until I turn off the engine for a little wile.

I haven't really paid attention to the chirp or if I even have it... Been using non-ethanol fuel though as I figured the rest of the world doesn't probably use it!

Safeguard™ Ethanol Fuel Conditioner with Stabilizers

Lucas Safeguard™ Ethanol Fuel Conditioner with Stabilizers was developed to specifically address issues associated with using ethanol based fuels. This applies to E-10, E-15, E-85, pure ethanol and any mixtures in between including gasoline. Our Product is completely soluble in all ethanol fuels and will not harm filters. Lucas Safeguard™ Ethanol Fuel Conditioner with Stabilizers contains effective additives to prevent rust and corrosion associated with the use of ethanol fuels.
Safeguard™ Key Benefits:
• Cleans injectors, valve seats, combustion chambers and other critical fuel components

• Stabilizes fuel and prevents varnish & gum formation in ethanol and gasoline

• Combats deposits and protects your engine oil lubricants from the harmful effects of alcohol combustion
Safeguard™ treats up to 80 gallons(302.8) of ethanol fuel. One ounce treats five gallons of ethanol fuel. Our new 5.25 oz bottle treats up to 25 gallons (94.6 liters) of ethanol fuel. Recommended for use in automobile and marine applications.
NOT RECOMMENDED FOR DIESEL APPLICATIONS
Bump, surely someone must have tried this by now? I won't have access to any non-ethanol fuel anywhere in the city of Atlanta or close by. I need a temporary solution when I get my BRZ next week until a TSB is released.

AutoZone carries it...

Just topped off with 92 ethanol-free gas, hoping to have the same success as OP. Will report back shortly.

From what I am reading, VPower in the US is NOT necessarily ethanol-free.
