That is my suspicion. The change over can be dramatic under the right conditions.

Would be a first if they were. Could just be that you heated the bay up a bit more than normal I suppose.

Or like I said they have just changed what causes them with the new pump.

Yep. Some do and some don't. It was listed as a rolling change starting in 2016 but there was never really a date of XX given for when it started.

I have never had them unless it was very warm out and even then only at idle. As soon as I started to move they went away. Not a 17 though so maybe they just changed instead of getting rid of them.

I dont hear them at idle, but only in 2nd e 3rd gear under 3k rpm..
This occurs specially when slowing down when still on gear but not pressing the gas pedal
while the car, and the engine, slow down, crickets appear
and also when i'm in 2nd gear, low rpm (say 1900-2000) and i accelerate.. lots of crickets.

Should i be worried?
Like Tcoat said it's not crickets it's a wet belt. Crickets only appear at idle. The most reasonable explanation I remember being proposed is the seals in the HPFP need more lubrication than ethanol rich fuels provide. The new pump has different seals so is more tolerant of the garbage we use for fuel here in the US.

More than just seals. It also has a longer stroke and a porting size change but those probably had nothing to do with the noise.

*knock on wood*

I got over 1000 miles today (yay broke break-in period) and no crickets on my '17 yet, even in some hot 90+ degree weather the other day. Been fueling up with 91 consistently.

Still none in my 15' that was done maybe a couple months ago now and it has been well into the 90s in FL now.
I never heard them while driving either. I can't even see how that is possible. I only ever noticed them while sitting still.

If they come back, then I'll give up and leave it be. Until the next TSB comes out for it that is...

Actually the port size could have something to do with it as well. Changing or reducing the pressure may be putting less stress on things and a longer stroke could allow it to run a hair cooler. I don't know but it sounded good...
