I then preceded to tell the associate that my "friend" got his Scion for that price at Yorkdale Scion. And he matched that, I got coaxed a bit with the $5000 insurance package and the nitro stuff, so ended up adding another $226 to that previous final price.

I wanted white but had to wait 4 months, so took a black instead. It should be in next week! Pretty pleased with Brimell Scion, I highly recommend it! Ask for Kevin Davidson if you are seriously considering one.
Was that "friend" me? Lol, congrats!

Any new updates from recent owners? My local Mississauga Scions say no discounts. Although the car is new, it is a massed produced car - there's got to be some $ off no? Especially in this economy.

a toyota corolla or honda civic is a massed produced car

this is not a massed produced car

my local dealer has sold every single one they got in so far

any cars still out there are either in remote locations, unwanted packages, or have simply slipped off the radar.

supply and demand

you can try to negotiate, but they will just shrug their shoulders.

Anyone know how many 2013s are coming to Canada?

Numbers won't be as low as Integra Type Rs back in the day, right?

Wow. Ordered mine July 7th, and I have called my dealer twice since then (voicemail both times) and I still haven't heard from them yet. I'm about ready to drive in there and sit in the salesperson's office waiting for him.

Heffner Toyota in Kitchener, if anyone's wondering.

I was on the email list for notification when the F-RS went on sale. Upon receiving notification I called and then visited the dealer that day. I had purchased an xB from the same guy 7 mos. earlier. Didn't negotiate, got what I wanted in the first shipment and I am satisfied. It looks like if you play your cards right you can get $600-$1000 off MSRP.I have no regrets. I did refuse to pay for the $300 vehicle recovery serial number just as I did on the previous purchase. The F and I manager tried to fight me on that (greedy).
I sold the Miatas when they first arrived in 1990. We took $500 refundable deposits and discounts were out of the question. Selling Mazda was a lesson in starvation and taught me a hard lesson. The Miata was practically the only sale with a reasonable commission.
Anyway I am still in sales and I (sometimes) do ok so I figured Id afford myself the excitement of being one of the first vs. playing the game and feeling I was the smart guy.
Shame, $600 gets 2 Z's of insane hydro these days!

I went to three dealerships in gta area, my best quote was from pickering to
Yoa because my parents have bought a few cars there. I used this quotenat downtown scion to match, ended up saving 300 on mrsp and another 300from their rust protection.

It's hard to get a discount just take off the $299 iGlobal fee, you don't need it since you have insurance and take the grad rebate, etc.

Someone local for 600-800 off of MSRP. Before Tax.

Think it was Yorkdale Scion.

Know how dealers like to drag their heels when it comes times to talk to the finance guy and sign all the paperwork? Do the same to them, be prepared to sit there for hours looking over the car, asking questions, etc then be prepared to walk if they don't take the bs off the contract. You have to be prepared to do it with your best poker face.

They are trained to do it to you so that you are so tired you'll sign anything just to get out of there, just do the same back.

Lol, resurrecting old threads...yeah Derek Guo at Yorkdale is your man if you want to knock off some $$ from MSRP. But be prepared to go at least twice. Nice guy that he is, had to play hardball and leave. Second time got the price I wanted.
