Yup that would be the one to get it seems, just deciding whether to get the slammer or Ashiko.

I've had both. The Slammer seems to be in the sweet spot (for me). The Ashiko others LOVE, but I only liked (even though it also felt great). Different strokes for different folks. I have a barely used Ashiko for sale for a good price now.

I feel you a bit with the Motul. I changed mine and it was better until winter. I'll change it again this summer, along with the differential again.

I have a moddiction anvil2 and it made a significant difference (including +5 sexiness), but coming from a 986 boxster, the shifting still sucks. I'll try bushings and springs eventually. Maybe even the kart boy short throw. I'm happy with the throw length, but the shifting is still too crunchy.

Replace entire factory shifting mechanism with CAE Ultra Shifter unit if you want a more precise shift that has less issues going into gear when cold and ZERO play. Only 2 cons: 1) fairly expensive 2) requires quite more effort to shift than stock...it's an ultra-positive race unit.

Would never go back to stock based shifter assemblies, after having the CAE...Anthony agrees with me as well after installing his CAE...simply the best shifter made for the 86.

TRD shift knob is an unconventional design but feels awesome in the palm... not just some attempt to overprice by branding. Feels designed for the driving experience like Toyota did for the rest of the interior's placement of driver input points and seating. The knob's effect is two-fold; its cutoff height is shorter than conventional knobs so throws are shorter. Best knob I've had out of 6 different cars that started with stock knobs then switched to aftermarket knobs, some weighted. The difference made by the TRD knob overshadows the difference made by my short shifter.
