You are young and must learn this. If you don't show your car who is boss, it will never have respect for you. Listen to what Tcoat says. I think I remember Tcoat saying he has underwear older than most of the members on here. Smack it around but not enough to leave any marks or scratches.

Welcome to your aging car. I have a rattle that I FU@#$%G HATE! It's part of owning a car with almost no sound deadening.

Here is what to do:
Take everything apart, then put it back together.

It will either:

Fix it

Stay the same

Probably get worse.

ok where is it, cuz what you said made no sense.. xD

If you think it's from the front, it's usually 3 places. 1. Behind the headunit. 2. the window switch on the door. 3.near door speaker panel. XD Hit the area with ur palm firmly. XD

if it's from the rear......... I don't know till I can find a volunteer to drive my car while I smack around. xD

All jokes aside, I am once again stating to smack the spots you think it comes from. You admit that you are young and don't know much about cars and this was real advice. I have owned cars for 42 years and this method has worked 1,000s of times. You will not hurt anything (use the palm of your hand not a ball peen hammer) and give the spot you think it is coming from a sharp firm rap. If it is just a minor friction or contact point you may very well fix it. The car is an inanimate piece of steel and plastic and will feel no pain nor hate you for it.

You will also learn that taking things apart on a car interior is the best way there is to create noises that you will never ever get rid of. Taking things apart should always be a last resort.

it's due to the whole side dash hitting the pillar cover, stuff a thick piece of paper in the crease will stop the sound

I actually believe I have the same issue as you. It just started a few days ago too. Sounds like small pebbles hitting the windshield on the right/passenger side. It seems to be coming from inside the car from what I can tell. I tried to forget it and drown it out with louder music, but now that I know the sound, it still haunts me.

Could you elaborate a little more on this? I would stuff the paper in at the bottom of the pillar?

Dude its a sports car, most times they are gona ride like mule carts. Their gona bump, clink ding dang and everything else. Noticable because you are virtually sitting on the ground, your ass is only a few inches from the road.

TOTO were not in Kansas anymore!

I think what @Zhangy is getting at is that the sound may be coming from the area where the bottom of the A pillar meets the upper part of the dash.

Before you start stiffing match book covers all over your car, I'd suggest you "probe" with a thin putty knife to see where it can be placed that will stop the squeak ...... then stuff something in there.

Back in the day, they used to sell small, black, rubber, ribbed wedges that one could stick around to stop squeaks and rattles ......

Thanks for the clarification and wow, "in the day" sounds better. I used quarters to stop my window keys from rattling. Lol.
