The "two types of spacers" I think you're referring to are hub-centric and non hub-centric which has to do with proper centering rather than whether or not you need extended studs or not.

I think by two types of spacers he means adapters and spacers.

The two types of spacers he's referring to are slip-on and bolt-on. You're right that you can't use more than a 3mm spacer on the stock studs, but you also can't use any less than a 12mm bolt-on spacer. That's because there isn't enough material under the new lugnuts to guarantee that they won't rip out. So anything between 3-12mm will be a slip-on spacer that requires longer studs. Above 12mm can be either slip-on or bolt-on. I have 20mm and 25mm bolt-on spacers on my car.

Given how much tire is being tucked, I don't think this car has any spacers at all.

Bingo. I have a couple of those, I use them to adjust handling since I cant swap out my suspension in current time attack class and they can be as slim as 15mm. Whether that car has or not is another story tho.

I have an incredibly revolutionary idea to find out how that car is set up. You see how in the instagram post the owner's page is tagged? Why don't you send the owner a message asking this question.

Evidence destroyed, returned to stock, sold as "never modified, stock, babied"

I remember there were a few guys running extremely low and static, maybe go through the aggressive wheels thread in fr-s section, if you really wanna go that way.

You can run a 5mm spacer. I had it on mine in the front and travelled for 3000+ miles around the west coast. No issue. 5mm is the max load.

It's funny how people think driving low is hard.

Unfortunate they didn't actually tag the account in the photo because that will at least update as/if the person changes their IG handle. Looks like it could be static or on air, height could be realistic for both unless someone knows for certain
