See I thought since technically I drive a Subaru I could drive anywhere I wanted, even with Primacys, but my Toyota badges kicked in and said I was retarded for trying, as did the tow truck driver.

Throwing some sand or cat litter behind your rear wheel might help you get traction next time you get stuck.

Bingo. No matter the car, unless you're getting into deep snow or driving on sheet ice, proper snow tires make a HUUUGE difference. The 86 is absolutely a riot in the snow.

Well I tried using my front mat and trunk mat but it wouldn't take so I just gave up. And no I didn't have to pay because it's covered on my insurance, USAA, but I did slip the guy twenty bucks because I was grateful, even though he was a bit of a ****.

Aint snow fun! I had the same problem on stock tires last year the few times I drove in snow, I got stuck on a street with a slight incline, couldnt go anywhere. It looks like the snow was melting too which makes it slicker.
I put snow tires on this year and a couple of cinder blocks in the trunk and have been able to go everywhere, and so much easier. But we havent had deep snow to plow through. Getting stuck a few times is a good memorable experience you can learn from and laugh about later. Come on summer! |
