And we are trying to tell you "no you won't". The change in HP is negligible. There will be a difference that you can "feel" but it will be increased nvh.

The dyno argument is invalid because two completely different systems are being measured.
On a dyno the rotational inertia of the driveshaft makes up a larger part of the total inertia because it is being used to accelerate the roller. In real life, it's accelerating the whole car. Try mashing the gas in a fifth-gear pull from the same starting RPM as when on the dyno. Which one gets to redline more quickly? The driveshaft is a tiny little part of the combined inertia. Please let it go.

Either way, driveshaft helps achieve 200 whp without e85.

Not as much as turning off the radio but hey, it's your money. We're just trying to help other people avoid making the same mistake.

Again, the driveshaft does not help.
Here's another reason: While measuring the "Brake Horsepower" the oldest method in existence is to run the engine (or CAR in the case of a chassis dyno) at a constant RPM while applying the "Brake" and finding the point at which the engine can just hold RPM at max output. The hp rating was determined at this constant RPM by how much power is consumed in the "brake" (hence the term "brake-horsepower") How much hp is a lightweight driveshaft stealing from the system while it is rotating at constant RPM? the exact same amount as a heavy driveshaft rotating at constant RPM - ZERO. Will a driveshaft that weighs 10 pounds lighter than your competitor help you beat him to the end of a quarter mile? - SURE. The same as removing the 10 pounds from anywhere on the car. |

so i have come to conclusion my car is slow as hell
got beat by very old “light civic” i beat an old del sol, I beat old “car”? , I bet charger once I got srt4 out of hole simply because he spun wheels, I left oft at home, no pedal dance mode for me, holing trac for 3 secs “mode sucks” etc… also track was 8th of mi and i was running 10 ’s lmao got spanked by wrx, and s2000. noticed my car is a lot more fun to drive on highway, threw turns etc than it is in quarter or 8th mile, I need turbo badly |

but how do I use launch control in my oft tuned frs when i put car in neutral and rev to redline it sounds like i hav launch control but if i drop from neutral to drive that can hurt transmission correct ? my car wont let me power brake, yet forgot oft last night and wasn’t in pedal dance mode etc does pedal dance mode solve all my problems etc? if so next time bringing oft with me *left it at home etc thank you how do I launch with auto? |

Nope, this is fine. You should be doing this for every launch.
