i would get a MT if i live somewhere else but not in San Francisco. There are so many hills that made me bought the AT and no regret so far.

Hehe the folks at C/D feel the same way - enough to start a movement. Perhaps you've heard of it.

Automatic will never be smart enough to not frustrate me. I hate it when it up shifts 1 second before the up hill, stop sign, or etc. Automatic will never know what's coming ahead and prepare for it.

Automatic. It's nice having all the different driving modes and still know I'm not going to ruin the car with my potentially god-awful manual skills.

While you're coasting? Not a good idea. But you can do that in an automatic too.

I hold my girl's hand while I drive manual. When I have to shift I move her hand over the shift knob, and we shift together. Lol

I did that once, it didn't end well.

I went for the automatic, i had lots of fun test driving it. As someone who loves car i'm pretty damn sure this will be the only auto i'll own, because anything over 400HP needs a manual. Though i do miss dropping into 2nd gear and flooring it, i'm loving this auto.

AT because I dislike shifting. I also have allergies and sneeze very strongly. I am afraid I'll swerve when shifting and cause a pileup. Besides it requires much less thought control to drive and frees up my mind to think more freely. I also I've in SOCAL and traffic is a nightmare. Not fun even in an automatic. I can just imagine how many times one has to shift.

AT. This is my fun car and unlike some, part of my fun factor is roadtrips so MPG counts. Roadtrip MPG i'm averaging 38.5mpg and my spirited driving is netting right around the 30mpg mark. Without the paddles though I wouldn't consider it, I like having the somewhat rpm control still.

Besides, if I really get manual withdrawal, I still have the 5speed tacoma =]
