If I understand correctly, you could fit 265 and not rub on stock suspension, perhaps someone can chime in

If we use the fitment of 17x9 +35 with 235/40/17 which is said to fit with no rubbing, then it looks like 235/40/17 on 17x8 + 48 is almost as close to the strut.

From willtheyfit:

Compared to your existing wheel, this new wheel will have an inner rim which is 0.3mm closer to the suspension strut. The outer rim will poke out 25.7mm less than before.

Sigh.. I think I know the answer to this, but I'm holding onto a kernel of hope that I'm wrong..

I have run a set of 265/35-18 on 18x9.5+38 wheels on my BRZ already. Camber is -2.4F, -2.2R. The fronts only rubbed at full lock, and the rears only rubbed at that little plastic fastener between the bumper and fender.

Unfortunately, I can't continue to use those wheels because they don't clear my new brakes.

So now, here's the big question:

How much of a headache would I be in for if I go to a 18x10+30 wheel?

...and I really don't want to add any more negative camber.

FRS Project looks promising, but I'm just not sure.

Saw someone selling the same wheels saying he needed 3mm spacers to clear his struts when he was lowered on eibach pro-kit which is about 1.2" drop.

thanks,
Lowering your car does not affect the front camber.

In any event, it appears that setup may rub depending on your camber situation

Got 18x9 18x10 +4. My thoughts on tire size are 215/35 225/40. Will it fit?

Been away from this thread for a while (busy) but will try to help.

What widths and offsets are available for the S1's?

Also I plan on lowering on h&r super sports -1.2f and -1.6r drop
It all depends on your camber settings. With your drop and no camber bolts, you should end up at around -1.5 already. I'd go with something close to +35. The +28 will poke, at least on the fronts.

Vice versa so +38F, +30R would work, but I'd just go with +38 all around.
If lowered on springs, then clearance up front will be close to the perch, coilovers no issue. Proper camber is key.

Its a 13mm difference in offset (inward) from stock wheel/tire and with the extra camber a bit closer. I think you should be just fine.

If you have the stock tires on these wheels already, then just measure the inside gap to the spring perch. The 235/40 will be almost an inch wider than the 215's, so 1/2" on each side wider than stock. Everything else remains the same since you are keeping the same wheel and camber right?

Your question is better directed at those in this thread:
http://www.ft86club.com/forums/showt...25171&page=103

But it looks to me like you're adding about 14mm more poke.

Hi Marchy!

I'd check how much clearance to the spring perch you have with your current setup first. You're getting lower, which will add camber but some guys are already running 17x9 +45 for the track with the same size tire. I'd say if you have 8-10mm clearance now, you're probably okay.

You can always take some negative camber back out if needed, just make sure to do it with eccentric camber bolts, not crash bolts.

Yeah good point. I can fit a finger and a bit between the wheel and the strut, but can't fit two fingers (that's what she said)

Will this combo work for me without any issue:

-Gramlights 57xtreme 18x9.5 +40 offset
-245/35 Tires
-ST coilovers

From what i've seen it should work, just want to double check. Also, any recommendations for affordable performance tires?
