Ignoring your incorrect comparison of the last generation. You have two x86 platforms in the new generation. One is capable of 30% faster speed in gaming. Hardware does indeed, count."
First of all, my roommate and long time friend has worked for Sony Playstation in Sorrento Valley for the past two years in TRC and play testing. We have plenty of back and forths, and one of the things she and most of the other staff readily admit is the difficulty third party developers have with the PS3. It leads to the majority of games on both platforms often running better on 360. This has also been my personal experience owning both systems. If hardware is not utilized properly, it doesn't matter how fast it is. It's the same reason why 60s hotrods that make 700hp can put down slower lap times than some kid in a souped up 1.8L civic.

If it is $200 better, than yes.

I bought the Wii U basic, because i couldn't find the elite version. Usually the extra memory, game whatever, that is bundled makes the price difference worth it. Luckily I found the elite or whatever they called it (deluxe ?) before I opened the basic, so I returned that and kept the better of the two.

My friends sisters-in-laws cousins dog once caught a frisbee thrown by an xbox engineer. The dog said the Xbox has problems with texture decompression on fast paced action sequences and the PS3 didn't. He said to look at Gears of War.

The online fee was announced today though, I would call that significant right?

It undercuts XBL by $10 a year and offers a lot more than XBL in terms of free new games and discounted other games. Considering the system also undercuts the XBO by $100, and you can still play single player/offline games, watch Netflix, access the store (without discounts), with trophies as well all for free, it's not really that significant.

They will gain far more Xbox customers than they'll lose PS4 customers, considering the above. Most people who already had PS+ claim it's very good value.

Are you talking about Xbox Live or are you talking about Playstation Plus (which was announced during the conference as well). Cause the way you worded it, there is no fee to just be online. If you want the extra stuff (free games and what not) and want to play Multiplayer then yea it's $5 a month for PS Plus (which again was stated during the conference).

And now RedBox Instant by Verizon is going to be on PS4. I vist the RedBox nearly every weekend. Excited about RedBox coming to Playstation.

well on the topic of ps4 and used games:
http://kotaku.com/third-party-publis...ium=Socialflow

so usedgames still a wildcard and out of sonys hand ultimately (besides first party games)

obviously still quite open. but 3rd party publishers have always been trying to calm down on the used games sales (online passes anyone?)

And in other news....

"Hey everyone, turn away from my tv so we can start watching this show!"
This is MS shooting themselves on the foot... and then the other cause they loved it the first time...

Megaman for PS4!

They're bringing back some relatively classic-ish games.

Troll post, thanks. Your post are irrelevant since there is no pre-system or idea of thought already implemented by these janky patents.

Not the same thing as Sony themselves implementing this on Used games. If the Publisher does that, then that's different. With MS you have no choice period. With Sony, you have a choice in that game to purchase it or not. That is IF this is all true.

So I guess we can't take the word from someone who plays on retail boxes and dev kits 8-12 hours a day 5-7 days a week? I'll ask her some more questions when she gets home from E3 at the end of the week.
